Meet at Stillwaters Coffee north Hiawatha at 6:45 AM, leave at 7 am.
Tower Terrace to Featheridge through Toddville, then Alice Road, pick up CVNT and back to Tower Terrace and head back to coffee shop.
This would be A/B ride 15-19 mph.
Traffic on the trail at this time is non existent for those who like to ride hard, and local commuter traffic on Tower Terrace, Featheridge and Alice road is going the opposite direction.

Campfire after dinner for everyone at the Potter campsite. Bring your own drink and the Swine Trek Queen will have everything you need for s’mores!
There is not an organized ride on Sunday.
This is normally a weekend trip so you will need to make your overnight arrangements. Camping is available in the City Park (tents, campers, RV’s). There are also several B&B’s and some hotels if you prefer. Please call ahead as these fill up fast and most require a two night stay. This is a great ride – the food is awesome – and you get to ride the trails with some great biking friends!

Scavenger Hunt Bike Ride Starts at 4:30
What: Explore Downtown Cedar Rapids/Czech Village/ Newbo by answering questions and finding puzzle peices at local non-profit groups in the area by bike! Answer the questions, find all the puzzle peices and return to Kickstand!
Start and Finish at Kickstand!
Do in small groups or as individual.
Bring kitchen or bathroom cleaning supplies to donate to Cedar Rapids Furniture Rescue. Cash donations accepted too.
Social to follow at 6 pm at Kickstand!
This would be great event to invite new potential members or encourage members you have not seen in a while to participate!

This HBA ride will be a 43 mile No drop ABCD group ride with a ride leader for each group. We will have designated re-group points for water and food. Improve your riding skills and fitness while sharing time on the bike with fellow cyclists!
Guests are welcome to ride and enjoy the social part of riding in a group. Helmets are required. A pre ride meeting will take place 15 minutes prior to departing to go over course, re-group points and other ride information. 7:45 meeting, wheels roll at 8:00 sharp. Start and end will be at Stillwater Coffee (Please park north of Stillwaters in Medical buildings parking) Strava map attached.

Riders should be at the start by 9:45 a.m. for sign-in. Wheels roll at 10. We’ll take the trail south to Ely for a stop at the Casey’s there. Continuing on the trail, we’ll go to 140th Street/County Road F14 and go east, cross Highway 1, and continue on to Sutliff for lunch at the Sutliff Bar. After lunch, we’ll get back on Sutliff Road and head north to Lisbon and Mount Vernon. Then we’ll take Mount Vernon Road west back to Cedar Rapids. To return to Greene Square, we’ll turn off of Mount Vernon Road on to Bertram Road, which connects to Otis Road. We’ll take Otis Road back into downtown. We’ll determine other strategically-placed re-group spots on ride day. Mileage 45-50. This is a no-drop ride with the ride leader or a designated sweeper riding with the slowest rider. Plan on an average pace in the 12-14 MPH range, slightly faster on straights.
Saturday October 23rd join Gerald and Dixie Peters at the Lake McBride entrance for a group ride around the reservoir. Road bikes or mountain bikes welcome. The group will depart the parking lot just inside Lake McBride Park entrance at 11 a.m. If you are interested in camping, join Gerald and Dixie for the weekend at the North campground within the park. You are responsible for making your camping reservations. If you don't want to camp, make a day of it instead! Bike with us, stay & play, then have dinner around the campfire. Gerald will be cooking!
