RIDE DETAILS

Our HBA group will be participating in the Door County Century ride, already a very successful ride with 3,000 participants by camping and riding that weekend.

We will be staying at Fish Creek Campground. This is privately owned and easier to reserve sites. Our plan is to leave from CR on Thursday September 5th-Return to CR on Tuesday September 10th. Gerald and I will be staying for 5 nights, but people wanting to ride can do whatever.

The Door County Century is neither a race nor a test of stamina (well, maybe stamina). It is intended that all participants ride at their own pace and in a safe and responsible manner. You may choose to ride any of our four course lengths: 30, 50, 70 or 100 mile courses with your paid registration. Because we want you to be happy and in control of your day in the saddle, choose your route anytime... even after you're already out on the road! Register early and save - See Fee Schedule.

There is no designated mass start time for the riders. Instead, riders need to plan to depart as early as 6:00 am (sunrise) and no later than 10:00 am on the day of the ride, depending on their anticipated pace and planned distance. In order to ensue that participants reach rest stops during operating hours, please depart during the specified window. Slower riders and those planning to ride the longer routes with multiple stops should depart earlier in the day.

Routes will be marked with both color-coded road arrows and wayfinding signs. Support vehicles, including our DCC Mobile Tech Crew and the Saris Sag Wagons will be available to assist riders all day long. Rest stops offering food, beverages, and technical support are strategically spaced throughout each route. After the ride, a catered dinner by The Marq, which includes New Belgium beer and other beverages, and plenty of live music.

Each rider receives a free dinner with their ride registration. Your friends and family are welcomed to meet up with you after your ride, and they can also purchase picnic tickets without riding.

Rising star Jackson Mankowski of Los Angeles will be the opening and closing act in support of Wisconsin supergroup Conscious Pilot, with a full set performance from noon until 4:00pm. Our outdoor "Blue Stage", Fat Tire Beer Garden, and Nicolet National Bank Festival Area will be rockin' all day long!
