Jon Ryk is volunteered to lead.
It is forecasted to have wind at about 11 mph from the southeast in the evening, so the route will be going south first (with tailwind coming back). It is nice to have a new ride leader and thanks to Jon, it is going to be a brand-new route and destination.
The meeting place is at the trail parking at the corner of Center Point Rd and Collins Rd (south side of Collins Rd, and the entrance is near Bob Mickey Collision Center off Center Point Rd) and ride through Downtown on the trail and have dinner Shueys Restaurant & Lounge (1158 Club Rd NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404; 319-848-2220).
The distance is a little over 15 miles each way. There will be several regroup stops along the way and Jon will decide the locations. We should be back at the trail parking around 9:30 PM. The weather is supposed to be good and seasonal and the temperature in the lower-60s and sunny.
This ride is a HBA sponsored social ride and it will be enforced at a leisure pace. Per tradition, anybody who passes the ride leader or his designee will be responsible for buying the first round of drinks. Nobody will be dropped.
Don’t forget to bring lights.
best regards,
Baol
