HBA/ Lake Country Cyclists of Ankeny Joint Group Ride

Joint ride with members of Lake Country Cyclists of Ankeny.

You must be member of one of these groups to ride. There will be separate sign-in sheets for each group. Ride is Approximately 40 miles long. There will be a stop for lunch or ice cream. 

Expected speed is 13-15 mph, but will be adjusted as necessary to fit the speed of the group. 

Ride starts at Pleasant Creek State Recreation Area (address listed below) at 8:45 AM. Meeting in overflow parking lot at entrance to the campground.  We will travel through the rec area and onto Center Point, Iowa. We will jump on the Cedar Valley Nature Trail south through Lafayette, Robins, Hiawatha and possibly part of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The plan is to have lunch in Cedar Rapids or Robins. The ride will return to Pleasant Creek Recreation Area on the same route. 

There will be a group camping from both HBA and LLC at the Pleasant Creek Recreation Area. All are welcome to join around the campfire, in the evening. Bring lawn chair, drinks, snacks, and a sense of humor.
