Holy Toledo Batman!

Join us for HBA's annual overnight Holy Toledo ride. The ride two-day ride goes from Cedar Rapids to the Super 8 in Toledo and back the next day.

The Ride

The ride starts Saturday June 13 at 8:00 AM leaving from Cedar Hills Community Church, 6455 E Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids. We will return to the same location on Sunday. Overnight parking will be available.

Approximately 51 miles each way
Helmets are required to be worn by all riders.
Registration is online and limited to 40 riders.
Sag support, 2 lunches and snacks are provided.

Registration is online and the cost is $40 per person.

Accommodations

You will need to make your own motel reservations by June 4 to participate in the block. Reservations need to be made directly with Super 8 in Toledo to get the group rate. Call (641) 484-5888 and ask for the HBA - Bruce Tiemann block. If more rooms are needed, contact Lynn lktmann@gmail.com to see if more rooms can be added.

Single rooms with 1 queen bed are $68 + tax (10 reserved)
Double rooms with 2 queen beds are $75 + tax. (6 reserved)
Each room has a microwave and mini fridge. Complementary light breakfast is available beginning at 6 AM on Sunday.

The block and rate will end on June 4th.

General Information

RAGBRAI registration is now open!

One important change to note is that RAGBRAI WILL ALLOW a registration tag to be transferred after June 1st, 2026. They will post more details on their website registration page as the date approaches.

Like last year:

RAGBRAI registration refunds on cancellations are decreased beginning March 1st and reduced by 25% every month after.
There will be no refunds beginning June 1, 2026 .
Late registration begins June 1st. Packets must be picked up at the RAGBRAI EXPO if you registered late.
RAGBRAI registration packets will be shipped individually to each RAGBRAI registrant if you register before June 1st.
RAGBRAI is offering an optional protection plan that can be purchased during registration. It is only offered during registration and cannot be added at a later date.

HBA Fee Cancellation Policy: If you cancel on or before April 1st, HBA will refund your registration payment minus a $25 fee. After April 1st, the fee is $50.

Tier 1 Registration: $250.00 (January 1, 2026 - February 28, 2026)
Tier 2 Registration: $275.00 (March 1 - March 31)
Tier 3 Registration: $300.00 (April 1 - April 30)
Tier 4 Registration: $350.00 (May 1 - May 31)
Late/Non-Refundable: $400.00 (June 1 - Day of the Ride)

All RAGBRAI registration fees are paid directly to RAGBRAI when you register on their website. Sales tax, packet mailing fee, optional protection plan and processing fee are added to the registration fee.

You may purchase RAGBRAI merchandise on the website. HBA will not be offering customized jerseys this year.

HBA Fees

$800.00 (full price when no participation points are available)

$500.00 (when a max of 300 participation points are applied)

HBA registration fees can be paid online at the time of registration.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel on or before April 1st, HBA will refund your registration payment minus a $25 fee. After April 1st, the fee is $50.

Cost for daily riders

RAGBRAI DAILY FEES
Purchase daily wristbands from RAGBRAI on their registration page. Online registration for daily wristbands ends May 31, 2026.

If you wish to join HBA as a daily rider, you must have a RAGBRAI wristband.

HBA DAILY FEES

$90.00 per night for accommodations ($50 with 40 points applied/night)

$120.00 Transportation, Cedar Rapids to start (priority is to weeklong riders).

$80.00 Transportation from end town to Cedar Rapids, IA.

Steps to follow to be considered for RAGBRAI with HBA

Register with RAGBRAI

Go to the RAGBRAI registration page to purchase your weeklong or daily tags.
Select Hawkeye Bicycle Association in the Team box. Begin typing Hawkeye Bicycle Association in the Team dropdown list, and it should pre-populate with our club name.
Use the password HAWK1971
Pay RAGBRAI directly for your RAGBRAI tag and any clothing items you wish to purchase. There will be no HBA customized jerseys this year.
RAGBRAI will mail the registration tags directly to each rider.

Register with HBA

You must be a member with dues paid for 2026 to participate with HBA on RAGBRAI.
If you are not a member, go to HBA Membership to join.
If you are a member but haven't paid your 2026 dues, login to the HBA website and pay your dues online.
Sign in to the website with your username and password. Complete the registration for the HBA RAGBRAI calendar event on the HBA website.
NOTE: The HBA RAGBRAI accommodations form and rider waiver is part of the online registration form. Sign the waiver by typing your name in the Signature field at the bottom of the registration form.
For Minors only, print a copy of the Minor's Waiver.

Join us for the Tuesday morning ride. This is mostly road but there is some trail, from the CVNT Parking lot up to Alice Road. This is a variation of the Toddville loop.

Pace is around 14 - 17 MPH.

The start time will be 10:00 AM for April and May. We will start early in the warmer months, 8:00 AM, then transition back to 10:00 AM as the weather cools, around mid-September.
